This site conforms to the triple-A level of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 1.0 (WCAG 1.0).

Accessibility features

To learn about how you can change your browser, computer, keyboard and mouse settings to make the web more accessible for you visit the BBC My Web My Way site. Some of the features of the UX Media site that make it accessible include:

• Cascading Style Sheets used for layout - and an appropriate order given to the way the various elements appear in the underlying code. This means you can turn of the styling, or use your own and each page still works.
• Any tables and forms that appear on the site are coded correctly permitting effective use by adaptive technologies such as screen readers.
• All images contain alt text. NB: Some images contain no informational value (i.e. they are purely decorative), where this is the case the image either contains 'NULL' alt text, or is presented as a background image.
• All pages have a default logical tab order (hence the use of taborder was not required).
• Accesskeys have not been used - this is a deliberate omision as the benefits from their use is highly limited and they can cause problems due to conflict with other software using shortcuts.
